I REALLY struggled with this at first. I worked my "ass off" trying presell after presell, but I just wasn't getting the conversions I was expecting.

I didn't understand — what was wrong with these guys? Why weren't they buying?

I gave them everything they wanted, I wrote a "story", a catchy headline (so I thought), but they just wouldn't part with their cash!

Weeks later, after reading lots of marketing books and figuring out what I was "missing"… the *penny dropped*.

I often visited customer's offices to fix their problem/s. NOT to sell anything. That wasn't my job.

But I often ended selling them something. In fact nearly every time.

These guys used to say: "Get it! I trust your advice, send us the POR and I'll sign it." Often before I even finished explaining.

One particular customer didn't even want to speak to the "sales guys", he would only speak directly with me.

What I said was *Gold* to them. I didn't understand it, maybe it was my pretty face (lol) but most of the customers were men, so I'm not sure.
